Through sharing his story of recovery from Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety, PTSD, and multiple suicide attempts, Thomas Dunning breaks down the stigma faced by the 1 in 5 individuals diagnosed with a mental health condition. Join us as we welcome Thomas, better known as the Mental Health Runner, live from England as he presents his journey of “Surviving the War Against Yourself” on Monday, August 17th at 7:00 PM on Zoom.
About Our Presenter
Authentic and passionate Thomas Dunning cuts to the heart of the mental health experience. An advocate of “healthy body, healthy mind” Thomas discovered running as part of his own recovery journey. He runs the platform to share his story and break down the stigma attached to mental health.
Since his recovery, he has become a Service User Governor for the Lincolnshire NHS, leads Run Talk Run Lincoln as part of the global initiative to make running and mental health more accessible, Media volunteer for Mind and Rethink charities and is a sponsored runner through Brooks Running UK.
