Laurie Pepe

Laurie is an Ending the Silence PA state trainer, Bucks County, PA lead presenter/coordinator and a NAMI Connections facilitator.  She is dual degree professional with a BA Psychology and an A.A.S Marketing/Merchandising from F.I.T.  Laurie has worked within the behavioral health system primarily with transition aged youth, but also with adults as well for many years.  She has facilitated training for self-advocacy and  mental health awareness, and has obtained grant funding for the program.  Laurie is responsible for recruiting, training, supervising and mentoring 4  young adult speakers.  She schedules all school and community presentations.  Laurie serves on many boards: suicide prevention task force, NITT (Now Is The Time Transition), and Bucks County Promise for youth with mental health and co-occurring disorders.  She is a family member who loves and supports someone with mental health diagnoses, and she is a peer diagnosed with depression.  In her spare time, Laurie is also a singer, songwriter, poet and my most cherished role is one of being a nanny to my 2 grandsons.  Laurie does not consider her job just a job, but a vocation, a calling, and an honor and a privilege as she continues to learn, be inspired and form relationships with such inspiring people.
