Dana Hurwitz, Board Member
Dana Hurwitz is new to the NAMI board. She has been a resident of Bucks County for over 25 years. After recently experiencing the loss of her son to mental illness and substance abuse, she reached out to NAMI to see what she could do to help others, as a way to begin to heal. Dana has seen firsthand the impact that this disease has on the person diagnosed as well as their family.
Dana has many years experience in the education field as well as in management of small businesses. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Muhlenberg College and an M.Ed. from Arcadia University. She is interested in making certain that NAMI is able to financially sustain itself and that the importance of the organization and its mission to “End the Silence” reaches as many people as possible. Dana will be working on the Fundraising and Marketing Committees. She is so happy to have found a place where she can help others who can’t always see there is a way to help them.
