Christyne M. Siliverdis, Board Member
Christyne M. Siliverdis is the founder and owner of MENTAL HEALTH STRENGTH TRAINING, LLC, a private practice, based in Richboro, Pennsylvania. Christyne has been devoted to the improvement of mental health for over 20 years. She has a Master’s in Counseling Psychology. Christyne has worked for Anchor House, a 24-hour shelter servicing foster child, the homeless and runaway youth. Here, she worked to stabilize the youth in crisis and reunite them with their families as quickly as possible. She has also worked at a nonprofit community based mental health agency, serving children and adolescents – ages 2-21 -throughout Bucks County. The High-Fidelity process is used by communities to support children with complex needs and families by developing individualized plans of care. More recently, Christyne worked as an outpatient therapist, aiding individuals with severe mental illness and homelessness. The populations of her clientele included registered sex offenders, along with felons who faced the obstacles of homelessness, illiteracy and the stigma of mental illness. Drawing upon these many years of experience, Christyne has developed her current practice MHST, focusing on cultivating her clients’ own inner strengths.
Christyne is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA) and is currently the Professional Development Chair for PALGBTIC (Pennsylvania Association for LGBT issues in counseling). Partnering with NAMI, Christyne will continue to advocate, educate and empower families touched by mental illness. Christyne is also a Certified Family-to-Family Teacher for NAMI. She is looking forward to helping NAMI End the Silence of Mental Illness.
