Bonnie MacDonald, Board Member
Bonnie MacDonald was born in Regensburg, Germany and currently resides in Hatboro, PA where she operates Bonnie’s Ark Animal Rescue. All of her rescues undergo training to become emotional support or psychiatric service animals. Bonnie has been a Family-to-Family teacher since 2014. It was her involvement with NAMI Bucks County that made her effective in promoting the Recovery High School, which is now a reality for the residents of Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. She is also the Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis Division 21 which serves Bucks and Montgomery Counties. She is currently working toward becoming a Certified Recovery Specialist.
Bonnie has been a foster parent since 2009 and is the Secretary of the Foster Parents Board of the Bucks County Children and Youth Parents Association. Bonnie is the mother of two biological sons and four grandchildren, one of whom lives with Schizophrenia. In her professional life, she owns and operates Bonnie Lynn Interiors, Inc. which specializes in kitchen and bath design for individuals living with physical challenges. She is also the Practical Interior Instructor at Abington High School for their evening adult program. She serves as an advisor for the NKBA, as Secretary and Commissioner for the Upper Moreland Historical Commission, and as Secretary for the Friends of Boileau.
